Pricing

We approach each assignment individually, since they are all different. Which is why before each assignment we do pricing. Lear about the criteria influencing our pricing below.

Written translation

1800 characters including spaces is considered the basic unit for translation, with pricing depending on the type of text, specialization, deadline, etc.

Oral interpreting

“1 working day” which is 8 hours is the basic unit used for pricing. In shorter assignments the unit is a “half-day” or 4 hours. In pricing oral assignments the pricing is influenced by time required for preparation, how specialized the assignment is, etc.

Translation – what are you paying for

Oral translation is a specialized service, and hard work. Each assignment is different, hence the individual pricing. What does the pricing include?

Preparation

Each assignment requires preparation - getting to know the area of expertise of the client, terminology and conference material. This can take more time than the assignment itself.

Knowledge of the language

Mastering a language up to a professional level takes many years and a lot of effort. Language skills also require constant training.

Translating experience

It is not enough to just know the language - one must also master translation techniques through years of practice and constant work.

Specialised knowlegde

A translator must be familiar with the areas they translate texts from. This requires taking part in specialized courses.

Flexibility

Even short assignments take a whole day: the commute, prolonged meetings... The translator must assume their availability, no matter the circumstances.

Translation

The last step, the assignment itself.
